From November 25th to 27th, local time, the Africa Energy Expo took place at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda. CHISAGE ESS showcased its core energy storage products and system solutions at booth 3.D14. CHISAGE ESS attracted widespread attention from the local market with its stable, reliable products and localized service system, helping to illuminate a new energy landscape for East Africa.
As the largest professional energy exhibition in East Africa, the Africa Energy Expo aims to accelerate development through innovation, policy, and investment. The event attracted more than 120 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing a full spectrum of solutions including off-grid energy systems, power transmission and distribution equipment, and clean energy innovations. It has become an efficient platform facilitating government–enterprise engagement and project cooperation for global energy companies.
In recent years, as electricity prices continue to rise and energy-transition efforts accelerate, the demand for safe, efficient, and locally adaptable energy-storage systems has grown rapidly in Rwanda and across East Africa. However, heavy reliance on imported core equipment, limited grid infrastructure capacity, and uncertainties surrounding policy implementation still pose significant challenges to the region’s energy development. Against this backdrop, storage solutions that combine technological advancement with operational stability are becoming essential to upgrading East Africa’s energy system and ensuring long-term power reliability.
During the exhibition, visitor traffic at the CHISAGE ESS booth continued to rise, with strong interest in our Merc high-voltage three-phase commercial and industrial energy-storage solution. The Merc 60kW high-voltage three-phase hybrid inverter features five MPPTs, an upgraded dual-BMS architecture, support for up to 20 units in parallel under off-grid mode, and an ultra-fast on/off-grid switching time of less than 5 ms. These capabilities make it highly suitable for diverse commercial and industrial solar-plus-storage applications, as well as power-supply scenarios in suburban and off-grid areas.
In addition, we conducted a full on-site demonstration showcasing our residential energy storage solution composed of the JUP 6kW low-voltage single-phase hybrid inverter and the MOON 16kWh low-voltage lithium battery. The system’s plug-and-play design significantly reduces installation complexity, while the intuitive touch interface provides clear visibility of real-time operating data and energy flow. Its intelligent control strategy ensures smooth and stable on/off-grid switching. Through the live operating demonstration, visitors experienced firsthand the system’s high level of coordination in power allocation, communication interaction, and energy management, expressing strong appreciation and recognition for our products.
