Ukraine is at a critical stage of post-war reconstruction, with energy restructuring and surging demand for energy storage creating vast opportunities for industry development. Recently, CHISAGE ESS hosted a technical salon in Kyiv, leveraging localized expertise and technical support to address key challenges while further strengthening its brand influence and laying a solid foundation for future market expansion.
The Russia-Ukraine conflict has persisted for nearly four years, severely impacting Ukraine’s energy system. The country’s total power generation capacity has plummeted from 40GW before the war to just 10GW, with a winter electricity shortage reaching 6GW. In the capital city of Kyiv, most buildings experience power outages for at least 10 hours a day. As international dynamics shift and policy incentives emerge, Ukraine is accelerating its transition toward solar energy and energy storage, striving to rebuild its energy independence through renewable sources. Some forecasts suggest that Ukraine’s energy demand could be twice the total installed capacity of Europe in 2022. Against this backdrop, CHISAGE ESS is rapidly expanding into the Ukrainian market with innovative technologies and strong product capabilities, providing high-quality solutions to customers and securing a foothold in this challenging yet opportunity-rich landscape.
The salon brought together more than 20 Ukrainian installers, all of whom had previously used our energy storage products. During the event, we engaged in in-depth, face-to-face discussions on key issues related to real-world applications, helping customers gain a clearer understanding of product features and optimization solutions. Additionally, we introduced our high-voltage MERC solution, which garnered strong interest and collaboration intentions from attendees regarding these upcoming high-voltage energy storage products in the Ukrainian market. High-voltage solutions hold immense growth potential in Ukraine’s future energy landscape and are expected to become a key driver of market expansion.
Despite the ongoing challenges in Ukraine, CHISAGE ESS’s brand influence continues to rise. With the support of CHISAGE ESS’s Poland branch, we are continuously improving our supply chain network and technical support system from Warsaw to Kyiv, driving the deep integration of our localized operations. Additionally, the launch of Ukrainian-language user guides and the implementation of customized technical training have not only enhanced the customer experience but also further strengthened their trust and recognition of our brand. We also plan to host more technical salons in multiple cities across Ukraine to better meet customer needs and contribute to the region’s sustainable development.
The war will not affect CHISAGE ESS’s confidence and progress in global expansion. It is precisely due to the challenging situation that the stability and reliability of energy have become even more critical, especially in areas facing power outages and infrastructure damage. Photovoltaic energy storage systems are the key to meeting people’s daily electricity needs. CHISAGE ESS remains committed to this original mission, continuously providing innovative energy solutions for key markets, helping more regions tackle energy challenges, and driving green and sustainable development.
