Recently, CHISAGE ESS achieved a significant breakthrough in the Thai market as its Mars series three-phase hybrid inverters and Jup series single-phase hybrid inverters successfully passed the rigorous testing by Thailand’s electricity authorities. Both series have now officially earned listings for MEA, MEA Zero Export, and PEA certifications, bringing new momentum to our expansion in the Thai market.
MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority) and PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority) are Thailand’s two major state-owned electricity companies, responsible for overseeing and regulating nationwide grid operations and renewable energy project approvals. The MEA and PEA grid connection certification is a technical standard established by these two grid companies to ensure the security and stability of Thailand’s grid. MEA oversees electricity supply in the Bangkok area, while PEA manages the supply in areas outside of Bangkok. Only certified photovoltaic products are eligible for entry into the Thai market.
CHISAGE ESS’s Mars Series low-voltage three-phase hybrid inverters and Jup Series low-voltage single-phase hybrid inverters have successfully passed rigorous testing and obtained certification from Thailand’s MEA and PEA, thanks to their exceptional performance. In addition, our inverters have passed the EMA ZERO EXPORT certification, featuring an anti-reverse current function that prevents excess power from flowing back to the grid. This capability not only improves energy utilization efficiency but also ensures grid stability and safety.
As one of Southeast Asia’s largest economies, Thailand has significant potential for energy consumption. However, its natural gas reserves are limited, and coal quality is relatively low, with approximately 13% of electricity demand relying on imports. Located near the equator, Thailand enjoys long hours of sunlight, with annual solar radiation reaching around 1800 kWh/m², making it highly suitable for photovoltaic power generation. Thanks to the declining costs of photovoltaic systems and supportive government policies, Thailand ranks first in Southeast Asia in renewable energy installed capacity. According to data from Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, the country’s installed photovoltaic capacity is projected to reach 35 GW by 2030.
According to current information, the photovoltaic systems in the Thai market are primarily grid-connected systems. However, due to limitations in independence and flexibility, an increasing number of users are seeking more intelligent and efficient energy solutions. CHISAGE ESS’s hybrid inverters are equipped with AC couple function, allowing existing grid inverters to connect to hybrid inverters through AC power without the need to replace the current photovoltaic system. In addition, our inverters feature a plug-and-play design, making installation and operation more convenient. The Arc Fault Protection function can promptly detect arc faults and quickly disconnect the power supply, effectively reducing the risk of fire and other safety hazards.
