As CHISAGE ESS continues to expand its presence in the Nigerian market, an increasing number of local businesses are choosing our solar energy systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Recently, we successfully deployed a 168kW/364kWh solar-plus-storage project at J&K Zaria Hotel, enabling 10 hours of uninterrupted daily operation and providing the hotel with stable and efficient power supply and energy management.
Project Background
In the Zaria region of Nigeria, the instability of the grid power supply and the high cost of diesel generation have long constrained the operational efficiency of the hotel industry. J&K Zaria Hotel faces two major challenges: first, frequent power outages during peak hours disrupt the guest experience, and the hotel’s heavy reliance on diesel generators as a backup power source results in persistently high fuel costs; second, with the global shift towards low-carbon development, the hotel’s green and sustainable image directly impacts its brand competitiveness. Therefore, J&K Hotel urgently needed to adopt an energy solution that enhances efficiency and reduces emissions, ensuring long-term energy independence and sustainable development.

Technology Solution
To meet the core needs of the hotel, this project adopted a 236 kWp high-efficiency solar panel system, making full use of local solar resources. Given the complexity of grid integration, our engineers selected 12 Mars three-phase 14 kW low-voltage hybrid inverters (Mars-14G1-LE) and strategically divided them into two groups of six inverters in parallel to ensure efficient grid connection. Additionally, 24 MOON series 16 kWh battery packs (MOON16-G) were carefully designed into two separate energy storage systems, each consisting of 12 units in parallel, to enhance charging and discharging efficiency. This configuration ensures a stable power supply even during load fluctuations, providing the hotel with a reliable backup power solution.

In terms of intelligent management, the system is equipped with a Wi-Fi monitoring module, allowing remote real-time monitoring of system performance, precise analysis of energy consumption data, and optimization of energy distribution strategies. Regarding safety, the system integrates multiple protective mechanisms, including overload protection and short-circuit protection, enhancing long-term stability and ensuring the hotel’s operations run smoothly without concerns.

Compared to diesel power generation, the successful deployment of the 168kW/364kWh solar-plus-storage project at J&K Zaria Hotel is expected to achieve cost recovery within 1 year and 1 month, after which the hotel will benefit from nearly zero-cost electricity. This project not only provides a more economical, stable, and environmentally friendly energy solution but also highlights CHISAGE ESS’s deep market presence and technological expertise in Nigeria. Looking ahead, we remain committed to supporting local businesses in optimizing their energy structures, leveraging advanced solar-plus-storage technology to drive more industries toward a greener, low-carbon future.
